Sorry Day

30 May 2022 by Raelene Burn in: News

This year we created a display in the grounds of the DUC - assisted by the hands of the younger to the older generations of our family.

A time of rememberance and reflection was held as we acknowledged the damage caused when children were removed from their families, communities, and their cultures.  We also recognise that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders still suffer from the policies of previous times. As we think about sad and painful stories we acknowledge the importance of saying Sorry for these wrongs.
